Women of color are more likely to be passed over for a promotion and less likely to receive career-advancing support from superiors than their white colleagues (LeanIn.org). Networking is a powerful tool that can help you overcome these barriers.

Research has found that 85 percent of jobs are filled via networking connections and 70 percent of positions are never advertised (Apollo Technical). So, having a supportive network is required for career advancement.

  • Advice and support: Networking can provide valuable advice and support from professionals who have been through similar experiences. These people can offer insights into the most effective methods for navigating your industry or career path.
